STORY

The first and only child of Lord Flynn Peacebringer, Cordelia had a lot to live up to since the day she was born. Luckily, she was trained by the best commander in Eastern Garsalia, as well as one of the most well known Scholars on her father's counsel. By the time she was twenty she had migrated away from Oceanview Keep and to Goldblade Castle as a guest of the king and an aspiring knight and lady. It was here, in the church of the city, that she was granted a vision from an angel.

Her quest, so the angel said, was one given to her by the Father of Light, the God most worshiped in the human kingdom. She was tasked with slaying five people - humans who wished to wrest control from those in power and raise themselves up instead, who called themselves The Scions of Xitmar. Cordelia accepted, and was granted a magical symbol upon her throat, a light in her eyes that made them glow an almost inhuman blue, and the ability to sense lies. After extensive research from the visions granted to her by the angel, she found that the first Scion was in Castle Goldblade. She recruited a questionable rogue named Rand to help her find where the scion was hiding and to hunt him down. After finding a hideout in the woods, she eventually learned the identity of the scion; a knight named Joffrey Witchburner who served in the king's guard; the Order of The Griffin. Killing him was not easy, but with enough evidence to prove his guilt she was praised by the people for ridding them of such a vile man.

Unfortunately, with her ability to pierce lies came the caveat that she herself could not lie to others. So word of her quest carried far and wide, and she was not so tight lipped about it as she might have hoped to be. Her father promptly made his way from Oceanview to Castle Goldblade, both to assist in the discussion about his daughter's actions in the city, as well as to reprimand her for potentially doing something stupid and crazy.

After a discussion with her father about what had happened, what she planned to do, and how she couldn't just sit idly by while these people took over; Flynn reluctantly accepted and insisted that he send a contingency of men with her. She agreed, and Flynn went on his way to begin preparing. The next night brought more visions, hints to where the next scion was. Cordelia, not wanting to waste time, recruited Rand and a good friend of hers — a knight named Morgan — to join her to the Staglands up north. The soldiers being sent from Oceanview would arrive a few days after they did, but she figured they could handle it.

Upon arriving in the Staglands, she met a Pathfinder named Hans who claimed he knew the area and could easily help them find what they needed to. She hired him on and they made haste to the small village in the forest.
